The undefeated Mexican professional boxer, Julio Chavez Junior is going to defend his WBC Middleweight world title for the first time against the Italian-American professional boxer, Peter Manfredo Junior in their 12-round bout on November 19, 2011 at the
Estadio Nemesio Diez in Toluca, Mexico.
Julio ‘The Legend Goes on’ Chavez, who fights at Middleweight, Light Middleweight, Welterweight, Light Welterweight, Lightweight, Super Featherweight divisions claimed this WBC Middleweight title by winning a Majority Decision in his last fight against the
German Sebastian Zbik on June 4, 2011 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, California.
Chavez has been an outstanding performer since he joined boxing. The current WBC Middleweight Champion, Chavez has never been defeated by anyone in his career.
Julio ‘La Leyenda Continua’ Chavez made his professional debut winning against Jonathan Hernandez in their four-round bout on 26 September, 2003 at the Parque Revolucion in Sinaloa, Mexico.
The 25-year-old, Orthodox stance, Chavez won the WBC Continental American Light Middleweight title scoring an eight-round Technical Knockout decision against Jise Celaya on February 9, 2008 at the Domo De La Feria in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Chavez won the WBC Latino Middleweight title against Luciano Cuello in March 2009 at the Plaza de Toros in Baja California, Mexico. Afterwards, he went against John Duddy to claim the WBC Silver Middleweight Championship in June 2010 at the Alamodome in
Sab Antonio, Texas.
On the other hand, the current IBO Middleweight Champion, Manfredo is not very famous in the boxing world. Peter ‘The Pride of Providence’ Manfredo has fought 43 total fights of which he won 37 competitive bouts including 20 knockout victories in his professional
boxing career. He is now coming into the ring against Chavez after winning six of his consecutive fights. He is looking good at this key stage of his professional career.
