Jumeirah Dubai, clear favourite for Stadium Bookmakers National Sprint 3rd Semi-final at Nottingham
Having broken track record, Jumeirah Dubai clearly has all the momentum to deliver a winning performance in Stadium Bookmakers National Sprint 3rd Semi-final, to be hosted by Nottingham on Monday, December 10th.
The black dog reached Nottingham at the end of last month, after showing some good work at Sheffield. He continued his marvellous job, and took the honours by three quarters of a length on November 28th.
J. Calvert’s trainee was super impressive last time around. The rivals kept disturbing him throughout, but he did not lose pace even for a second. With the help of a splendid effort, the dashing hound claimed the victory by a short head’s distance.
Having registered two straight wins over 305 metres, the son of Slip The Lark is all set to go well. Facing him today are: Drumna Ice, Mill Hercules, Fridays Dynamo, Boyneside Banty, and Goonsosure. The £200-for-winner contest will be kicked off at 21:22
GMT.
As far as Goonsosure’s prospects are concerned, the draw appears to be his only real bonus. The black dog was third last time around. Despite wearing red jacket, he looks vulnerable against this opposition. Boyneside Banty needs to be foot perfect at the
start. The black dog could only grab the third spot in the last round of the competition.
It would not be surprise to see Mill Hercules raise his game. But a slight improvement will not suffice. The black dog needs to come up with a special effort in order to trouble this opposition. He was also third on the chart last time.
Drumna Ice has shown a dip in form since doing well at Sheffield. Ahead of finishing second last time, the brindle dog completed the order of finish in a similar event here.
Fridays Dynamo is an above-average sort, and could take the advantage of the inside crowding. The blue dog, however, needs to counter early moves to ensure a big role.
Jumeirah Dubai is unlikely to give his rivals any chance. The draw is a concern, but the dashing hound knows how to win races from the black box. Good luck to him.
