Jumeirah Dubai enjoying a sweet racing career
Jumeirah Dubai has received great honours in a short period of time. The black dog started professional racing in September 2011, and has grabbed plenty of big wins to date. His wonderful record at various tracks makes him one of the best hounds in modern-day
racing.
Trained by J. Calvert, the skilful dog practised well before making his debut straight at the open level. He did not disappoint his connections, and secured the runner-up in his first three encounters at Shelbourne Park.
After showing a glimpse of his talent at Shelbourne Park, he went to Wimbledon, and kept doing the great job. Jumeirah Dubai continued to run well, but without having much success. He had to wait very long for his first success.
Things finally fell right in March 2012, when he stepped down to 305 metres. He bagged a comprehensive victory at Nottingham, before stealing the show respectively at Newcastle and Sheffield. Coming down to the short-distance races worked well for him, as
he grabbed four victories on the trot.
The notion that Jumeirah Dubai is good for only short-distance races vanished with his classy win over 420 metres in July. The spectators at Peterborough saw him taking the honours by three and a half lengths.
The March-10 hound started producing positive results on consistent basis a few months ago. After scoring twice in August, he carried forward his momentum to ensure a convincing triumph in October.
During the month of November, the son of Slip The Lark, out of Droopys Just Hot, took a couple of fascinating victories. After crushing the opponents over 280 metres at Sheffield, he perpetuated his fantastic work to clinch a classy win over 305 metres at
Nottingham. The ongoing month also saw him taking the top prize. On December 3rd, the rampant dog proved too strong for the rivals at Nottingham.
Jumeirah Dubai is more than capable of performing well over various distances, but he has particularly been impressive in the short-distance races. He still has a lot to offer. It will be no surprise if he dominates big events in the future. All he needs
is to learn a lesson from mistakes, and try to avoid them in future.
