Jumeirah Dubai hot favourite for Bettor.com 1.5% Starting commision Sprint Trophy
Jumeirah Dubai is likely to dominate proceedings in the Bettor.com 1.5% Starting commision Sprint Trophy at Shawfield in England on Saturday, April 7, 2012. The winner of the 300 metres flat race will walk away with a cash prize of £150.
The Grade OR event is scheduled to start at 19:45 GMT and following are the entries confirmed for it: Jumeirah Dubai, Skywalker Gold, Pennys Stinger, Markeys Nikita, Quarrymount Vivo and Hilltown Beano.
The bookmakers expect Jumeirah Dubai to run away with victory in the race, as he is in sensational form at the moment. He has recently set an impressive trial time at Shawfield, which shows that he will be highly competitive at this venue as well.
J. Calvert’s trainee has won three back to back races and will be looking for another one today. He was a touch inconsistent prior to the victories, but seems to have found his rhythm now. He will give a tough time to his rivals and it will not be
easy to stop him from winning.
In his most recent race, Jumeirah Dubai completely dominated the proceedings, as he did not anyone else to come closer. He led from the start and kept in increasing the gap until the end, winning by more than a couple of lengths.
Today’s favourite hound is the son of Slip The Lark out of Droopys Just Hot and was born in March 2010. He is the youngest of all participants in the race at Shawfield.
T. Soppitt’s trainee, Skywalker Gold, is also a very good runner and will be competitive at Shawfield. He has been doing a few solo runs in recent times, thus might be a touch rusty today.
However, the black dog has done well in races at this level, so he will not find it hard to adjust accordingly.
Skywalker Gold is the son of Droopys Kewell out of Dianas Ranger and was born in September 2008.
Other than the top two favourites, Pennys Stinger has also got a decent chance of winning at Shawfield today. He is a decent runner and can surprise everyone with his speed.
The rest of the participants are likely to struggle, as racing in this class is not easy at all.
