Jumeirah Group joins Golf in Dubai to provide catering and hospitality services - Golf News
In an effort to stage the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, the officials of the tournament have taken on board the Jumeirah Group, a well known luxury Hospitality Company, based in Dubai, for its catering services.
According to Jumeirah, the development in foreign investments and tourism industry is heavily dependent on the golf industry in the United Arab Emirates.
Therefore, they are proud to be the official caterers and hospitality partners for the prestigious event at the Emirates Golf Club, to be held from February 9 to 12, 2012.
The company has a history of providing catering and hospitality services of international standards to its clients.
Therefore, working with golf in Dubai will give the tournament an added advantage and more exposure internationally.
The event has already attracted plenty of fan-following because of the state-of-the-art facilities available at the venue.
Top-ranked players such as Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer are already participating in the event.
With the addition of Jumeirah and the increased popularity since the last few years, the tournament officials believe that more top-notch players will join the tournament in the near future.
“The Omega Dubai Desert Classic provides a worldwide exposure to the city of Dubai, in general, and the sponsors in particular, creating interest for people to visit Dubai,” Mohammad Juma Bu Amim, Vice Chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi, said.
“Thanks to Jumeirah, the players always have a wonderful opportunity to savour the incomparable hospitality standards of the region,” he added.
Rory McIlroy, the Brand Ambassador of Jumeirah, also earned his first ever victory on the European Tour in Dubai back in 2009.
He says Dubai is a great destination for players from all over the world to come and play.
Moreover, UAE has received so much praise from players, golf experts and fans that the European Tour’s final stop is set in Dubai, the Dubai World Championship.
Thomas Bjorn, Committee Chairman of the European Tour’s Dubai Desert Swing, has also decided to add another tournament to the desert swing to extend the European Tour stop in UAE at the end of every year.
