  1. Ok, what I do for the footwork is your approach.

    Left, right, left.

For the toss, you have to test it out. You gotta make sure you toss it out enough and high enough that you hit it with your hand up high.

    It takes some testing.

  2. I congratulate SNLfan on his answer, because he is completely correct on the toss.  I throw it up with one and and hit it with the same hand then, because for me, that is how i get my arm to snap and get more power.  the toss should be straight up and in front of you, and high enough so your arm is extended when you hit it.  It just takes practice, because if you really want to get good at them, they are SO convincing later to make a different team! (aka they are very good!)

  3. practice practice pracitce pracitce

k so try i analyze it try it again and keep doing it...once you got it keep doing it so you know you have it.

  4. I use my spike approach.  Since my spike approach is 3 steps, my jump serve is 3 steps.  As stated above, left, right and left since I am right handed.  I even do the closure step like the spike approach even though you do not need to do it with all of the room you have for the approach.

I do see most of the jump servers toss with the hand that they hit with.  I do not toss well.  I toss with both hands and then separate them.  Toss the ball high and in front of you.  You will need to practice your toss.  Toss it high and adjust your approach.
