I really want to do track this spring for 10th grade, and I heard that jumping rope is a great way to build your way up. It has a lot of benefits that running alone doesnt have. I eat a healthy diet, i try to bike ride each or every other day and i like to stay after school and run on our stadiam and track for about an hour. I just recently got "out" of shape for running and I want to get back into it. I haven't rode my bike in a while and I heard JR is great for fast build up(i dont know if its true). I have a strength training plan and I am going to start this cardio stuff next week. So if you could answer my q and give me some more tips of building up strength and other stuff for track, it would be greatly appreciated!

  1. yea jumping rope is really good for you....swimming is also another great way, it gives you better lung capacity while extremely easy on your joints...and for getting back to running just do it. dont start where you left off, go a little easier and soon you will be better than before...you just have to keep it up and you will be doing great for track! good luck!
