Jumping help?

can someone plz give me help on getting higher jumping abilities ( im caucasion )

  1. When you jump, make sure to bring both arms back as you are leaving the ground and then swing them up as you are in the air. Try to think of it like you're holding on to a pole with both hands behind your back, and then bringing it underneath your feet, past your chest, and above your head while you're jumping.

  2. Another thing that these guys didn't mention[which is very important for increasing your vertical] is flexibility.  Increased Flexibility will help you with any type of explosive movements[i.e. jumping] so I suggest that you also try doing more stretches if you don't already.

  3. definately run stadium stairs.. im a middle blocker at 5'7" and my coaches told me to do that til i cant do it any longer cause it really workds

  4. you need to build up your calf muscels if you stand on one foot and push your heel up so your like on your toesand you like keep going up and down with out letting your heel touch the floor just like do those until they burn like every day thats what are track coach has us do for high jump loung jump and just like for running. hope that helped!

  5. to get a higher verticle you need to build up you leg muscles especially your calvs.  do fast feet under a net, line jumps, wall jumps, wall sits, and most deffinately SQUATS!!!! they help so much. and try running or sprinting alot. just basically anthing to make your calves stronger.  GooD LucK :)))
