  1. It's up to you. I can't really critique with the blurryness, but i see that the jump is placed almost right on the rail. If I were you, I would keep the jump about 3 1/2 feet off the rail. If you keep it on the rail so much your horse will begin to rely on the rail to keep him straight and balanced. If you keep him off the rail it will teach you to use eboth legs to keep him straight and prevent him from drifting, or falling in or out.

Try working with diagonals aswell, they help for even balance too instead of just rail singles.

Overall, I suggest moving it a bit off the rail so it will keep you and your horse straight and balanced. :)

  2. I cant really see it.......

  3. move it a little off the rail

  4. I would move the jump off the rail. Make him figure out how to get to the jump without using the rail.

As for critiquing, the blurry video makes things difficult. I thought for sure I saw a 'chair seat' at the canter though. That will not fly with a good hunter judge. You might win under a lower level slightly corrupted one (if you have a good trot) but not with a good one. I also though I saw you sit down early on his back. Over a jump that small you really just need to be in a half seat. When you wen at the jump everthing was ok but he looked like he put some power to it and you fell back. That is not a good habit to start especially since both you and your horse are inexperienced.
