Junior Bridesmaid Duties?

Question

What kind of duties can I give my 10 yr old Junior Bridesmaid to make her feel important? I don't want her to just "stand there and look pretty"....

She is my niece, and she will not have a Junior Groomsmen to walk with. (She told me she wanted to walk down the aisle with a "big kid")

Your niece can help with favor making, gown shopping, and also hand out programs and send off props at the ceremony. She could read a passage at some point during the day, also.

At my aunts wedding they had 2 junior bridesmaids so that's always an option giving her someone to walk with. She can help u pick out wedding details which will make her feel special.Make sure she's in a lot of wedding pictures. Do u have someone carrying that rings, because if not she can.

The Junior Bridesmaid will be standing up with you and your fiance during the ceremony next to your Bridesmaid.  If you would like her to do "a job" perhaps she can pass out programs to arriving ceremony guests, or rose petals at the end of the ceremony if you are having a petal toss.

Otherwise she should just enjoy her junior princess status....

maybe she can hand out bubbles/rice after the ceremony if you are doing that, or help the ushers hand out programs before the ceremony.  ask her to do a reading during the ceremony.  also make sure you toss your bouquet directly to her during the reception and she'll feel like a million bucks!  since she's only ten that means the groom won't be doing the garter toss then.
