Junior Girls Singles Results: 2011 ITTF Polish Junior and Cadet Open
The Polish Junior and Cadet Open started in Cetniewo, Poland on May 25 and it is the 12th International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Junior event of the year.
According to ITTF rules the first 16 seeded players of the Junior Ranking proceed directly to the main rounds of the event.
In the round-of-32 of Junior Girls Singles, Hungarian player Dora Madarasz defeated Roxana Istrate from Romania in straight games. The final score of the match was 11-8, 11-4, 11-4 and 11-5. In the second match of the round, Imamura Yuko from Japan defeated
Iva Meidlova from the Czech Republic in a five game match with a score-line of 8-11, 8-11, 11-8, 8-11, 3-11.
In the third match of the round, Russian Guseva Ekaterina defeated Sweden’s Jonsson Jennifer in a five game match. The final score-line of the match was 11-8, 11-4, 11-8, 9-11, 11-2. In the fourth match, Polish player Kusinska Klaudia defeated Ai Kameishi
in a six game match 10-12, 7-11, 11-7, 15-13, 2-11, 7-11.
In the fifth match of the Junior Girls Singles it was Anna Krieghof from Germany who defeated Slovakian player Eva Jurkova in five games, scoring 11-6, 11-6, 11-13, 12-10, 11-8. The next match was contested between Michaela Karlsson from Sweden and Aleksandra
Radonjic from Serbia. The Swedish player only gave one game to her opponent and won the match with a score-line of 11-9, 8-11, 11-4, 11-6, 16-14.
The seventh match of the round was played amongst Brazilian Lin Gui and Japanese Mariko Takahashi. The match remained head-to-head until the sixth game, as none of the two players were ready to give up and at the end Lin won the decider game and proceeded
to the next round. The final match score was 8-11, 11-7, 15-17, 11-5, 11-5, 7-11, 11-9.
The eight match of the round was Sofia Polcanova from Austria who defeated Belgian player Alison Georis in a five game match with a score-line of 4-11, 6-11, 5-11, 11-6, 8-11. The next match of the round was contested amongst Petrissa Solja from Germany
and Japanese Natsumi Miyake. The German player defeated Natsumi in a six game match with a score-line of 11-7, 9-11, 11-6, 11-6, 8-11, 11-4.
Nicole Galitschitsch from Australia defeated Caroline Kumahara from Brazil in a six game match with a score-line of 9-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-6, 12-10, 11-3.
Tessy Gonderinger from Luxembourg defeated Katarzyna Nowocin from Poland in straight games with a score-line of 11-5, 11-1, 11-4, 11-8. Serbian Holok Dijana defeated Hungarian Mercedes Nagyvaradi in a six game match with a score-line of 11-9, 14-12, 7-11,
5-11, 11-6, 11-4.
Matsumoto from Japan defeated Tubikanec Ivana by 11-3, 11-8, 8-11, 11-6, 11-6. Nowacka Paulina from Poland was victorious over Czech Republic’s Adamkova Karin with a match score of 7-11, 11-6, 7-11, 8-11, and 7-11. Jeger Mateja from Croatia defeated German
Schuh Anja in five games, scoring 11-4, 11-5, 11-13, 12-10, and 12-10.
The last match of the round was played amongst Slifirczyk Katarzyna from Poland and Romanian Szocs Bernadette. The match extended to full seven games and Szocs won the final decider game and proceeded to the next round of the Junior Girls Singles. The final
score-line of the match was 11-7, 10-12, 11-8, 12-10, 8-11, 8-11, and 4-11.
The Junior Girls Singles round-of-16 will be played on Thursday, May 26.
