  1. Here are some tips that I've thought up from my experience in high school:

    Staying Organized

    - Write homework assignment and personal study goals in your assignment book/planner

    - Plan when you're going to do homework and study. Don't put it off.

    - Try to keep your space clean (ex. your room, backpack)

    - Have all the supplies you need (ex. rulers, protractors, pencils)

    - Have preferably one binder (1 1/2" is good) with dividers or separate folders with hole punches down the left side so you can have one folder/separation for each subject

    - Don't try to be perfectly organized, you'll fail

How to Do Well in School

    - Study. Study how you learn best. There are four main types of learners. Most people are a mix of a couple or more! These types are Kinesthetic, Auditory, Read/Write, and Visual. You can apply your inclinations to help you study more effectively and efficiently. For example, if you learn best by listening (Auditory), write a list of all your Biology vocab words and definitions, read them into a tape recorder, and listen to the tape. You will be able to learn quicker, remember more, and remember faster than if you had just written a list and read it silently (Read/Write) to yourself.

    - Either be good at taking tests or learn how to be good at it

    - Be kind to your teachers, friends, enemies, staff/faculty members, principal, parents, and yourself

    Making Friends

    - Be yourself. Everyone says to do this, but they don't explain what it means or how to actually be yourself. Let me try to explain. To be yourself means that you are your real self, riddled with insecurities and blessings. For example, if you can be weird, don't be afraid to be that way. It may be hard to show off your real self at first, but once you get comfortable with people and they accept you, you can act how you really are more of the time.

    - Start out simple yet brave. Be the first to introduce yourself. And don't be hesitant to try out different-looking or -acting types of people. Some people may seem rude or mean or scary, for example, but maybe they're just covering up their insecurities.

    - "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." -- Eleanor Roosevelt.

Hope I've helped. Work hard and you won't regret much. It will all balance out in the end.

    Good luck!

  2. First, if you want to stay organized just have somewhat of a system. For instance, have a folder for each class(make sure that they are different colors to avoid confusion). Keep homework on one side of the folder and tests and quizzes on the other. I recommend cleaning out these folders at least every semester, but it would be better every 9 weeks. Always make sure that you don't need any of the things you throw out. Next on doing well in school, pay attention to the teacher and ask questions when you need to. If you think that it's embarassing to ask during class, then just go back to that teacher and ask after school. Keeping organized will also help you do well. Make sure that ytou actually study before tests and quizzes, and don't try to cram before the test because this will usually not work. Finally, as for going to a new school, just be yourself. I didn't know anybody at my new school(i moved at the end of March, so you're lucky you get to start at the beginning of the school year) and all you have to do is start a conversation with somebody. Just go up and say hi. Also, join clubs and sports teams that interest you, as you will meet new people that share your own interests. I hope you do well in junior high!

    Bye

  3. 1. tips on how to stay organized?!?!

-Most schools will you give a planner for homework, projects, and activities.  If not, you can get a cheap one from Target or Walmart.  You can also get different folders and/or different sections in a binder for each subject.

    2. tips on how to do good in school?!?!

-Pay attention, and take good notes.  You'll be fine, trust me.

3.Also, I am going in to a new school where i dont know ANYBODY.

i dont know what to do to make friends!

    how do i approach people?

-There will be plenty of people to meet in Math, PE, at lunch, etc.  I personally think meeting new people in PE is the easiest.  Just start with a compliment and go from there.

  4. Well to answer number 1...

Constantly write in your organizer (planner,agenda..wtvr) make sure you know when everything is due and ask teachers if you need help.

    2. LISTEN and take notes! Don't let other people stop you from being great and succeeding because people will try!

You can easily make friends by seeing who's in your classes and who you're interested in...You can make short conversation and then just be like hey can I see your schedule, it would be cool if we had another class together.. (something along those lines)  As for approaching people, have a nice smile, be friendly and you can ask if someone knows where (for example) room 304 is, if you see them again in the hallway give them a nice wave and maybe they will talk to you again!! GOod luck xo

  5. hey,

im going to my last year of junior high so i can help you out a bit

the first year i went into junior high i was scared to but u just end up making friends by talking to ppl in your class :D be friendly and open minded to talking to new ppl and u'll be great in the friends department

as 4 the organization part here are sum things i like to do..

buy a few binders for every class or ur teachers will tell u if u have to buy binders but if u do use binders invest in a few dividers since u can organize the chapters and lessons .. also investing $3 or less buying reinforcements can be helpful if ur holes are ripped up on ur worksheets it can save u from getting in trouble from losing homework and important notes

and do to well in skool here are my tipss ....limit ur T.V and computer time...this is what i had trubble with. i didnt limit myslef and ended up watching to much tv....and dont 4get to study for tests a few days in advance so u can remember all the info :D and ask questions sumthing i shudd have definatly done more of...u mite be shy but trust me it can help u :D and review what u learn on a daily basis instead of learning everything the day b4 the test :D

approach ppl by being friendly..approach ppl the way u want to be approached.keep that in mind...find sumthing u both have in common and dunt be afraid to go up and talk to a new person..

anyway have a great year in junior high and good luck oh and do ur homework lol it'll save u a few detentions :P lol

    hope that helps,

    ~Pabs
