Junk Camra Equiptment? Free?

Hi, i heard that studios and small production companies and even singles throw out equiptment because it's damaged, i was wondering weather theres anyway to obtain the stuff that thay dont want.

Sure!  Ask them!  Most recycling places will charge you a fee to deal with that stuff, and no one likes it when stuff goes to waste.  Many usable items will likely to go schools, but if you don't mind spending 10 minutes on a chance, pick up the phone and call around!

If you're not too particular, you could post an ad on craigslist about your free junk camera pickup service.  Here it's a $12 recycling fee, so most people are probably throwing theirs away.

Finally, check www.freecycle.org.  Be aware that most local chapters frown heavily upon or ban actually asking for what you want, but go ahead and see what's available today, then keep your eyes peeled for finds in the future.  It's what the site is for!
