Junking a car?

Question

When you junk a car in NYS, do you need to transfer over the title to the junkyard? If there are outstanding liens out on a car, does that transfer over to the new titleholder??

No the lien is your responsibility. You must pay it off and then give the title to the junkyard. You cannot transfer a lien.........UJN
