  1. Oh please don't book this until you have read the reviews.

Then, by all means if you still feel it's the one for you, then go ahead, but the reviews are very very mixed.

Honestly? I'd say that if you're looking for Butlins-abroad and don't mind canteen style food- chips chips and more chips with very basic accomodation (I know it' s supposed to be 3/4 star) and you want to be eaten alive with mosquitoes, then you'll be fine- if thats not your idea of a great holiday- PLEASE book somewhere else.

Here are 2 reviews- 1 positive and 1 negative but there are many many more (126 actually ) on www.tripadvisor.com please please check them out for yourself.

"Me and my family went to the Hotel Jupiter and we was very unhappy about the quality of this resort.

When we first arrived (late) we was amazed to find the place in a state. Popcorn was strewn along the floor from the popcorn machines, tables were dirty and glasses were not cleared away feom them. Most people were asleep because it was around 3 in the morning and no staff were around cleaning. When we were seen and given our key, we tried to go up to the 8th floor in the lift but it did'nt work. We had to drag our heavy bags up the stairs without any staff's assistance.

The room was cramped and the decor looked nothing like the brochure. The bathroom facilities were good but the toilet was not in the best working condition.

The weather was warm but not hot and on many occasions it poured with rain. The pool was always overcrowded due to lack of pool area and we could barely swim, net alone sit on a lilo or rubber ring.

Dont get me started on the food, it was absolutely, positively DREADFULL! We ate in their the first day and decided that it would be our last, the food was unoriginal and to be honest, not very tasty. We kept going to the restaurant opposite (Britania) every meal time and the cost soon added up. One day we went to the restaurant just to have breakfast and I ate the bacon. It was rubbery and disgusting. Later on in the day I started to fell terribly unwell. I was sick alot of times and I blame the bacon. NEVER EVER AGAIN!

On the last day, I went to the toilet and to top things off, in there was a dead COCKROACH! I was mortified. Cleanliness is the key to a fun and safe holiday and I am afraid, this place was not clean.

It may seem like a good deal to start with, but it soon adds up to an all inclusive holiday to the carribean. We went all inclusive and we ate every night somewhere else, and we had to spend time outside of the hotel as there is not much to do.

    And the second review.....

"Well I really cannot let these opinions of the Hotel Jupiter stand as I found that the Hotel was absolutely fantastic for families such as myself. I am 28 my parttner 27 and we went with our 2 kids who are 9 and 7; we totally enjoyed our time and so too did everybody else we spoke to, the choice of food was fantastic (believe me as I am one of the most fussiest eaters in the world), the staff will do anything to please you and are helpful and polite even the bus driver driving the free bus to the beach, the reps are everywhere all over the complex and available to help, the hotel was spotless and clean, the pools are second to none with a choice of loads of different ones to go in and they are very very hygenic, the rooms were just what you need after all, all you do is sleep and get dressed in them and they are really nice and clean and we had plenty of space, the grounds of the hotel are beutiful at night as everywhere comes to life with market stalls, activities and entertainment. We went in mid august and it was ABSOLUTELY NOT overcrowded, yes it was relatively busy but not overwhelming honestly, what do you really expect when your in a large hotel....have you seen how large the grounds are, there is always an area to go if you want some time to yourself. We have recently re-booked for this year we are going in mid august again and we are really looking forward to going back. PLEASE read and believe as I speak for everybody I spoke to during the holiday and also my friends who have been."

If I were you, I would consider the Sumba/Borneo in Cala Millor- www.holidayhotels.co.uk

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news- but it's just not up to scratch.

    All the very best
