Jupp Heynckes: Reserve players were as good as first team regulars against Ingolstadt
Having rested first team regulars against the 2. Bundesliga side, FC Ingolstadt, on Wednesday, Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has expressed delight at the performance of his reserve players. He also congratulated his team on progressing through to the
third round of DFB Pokal.

While talking during the post-match press conference, Heynckes further enthused, "The first half was a little bumpy. Our build-up play was pedestrian, and we gave our opponents time to park the defensive bus. Once we made it 3-0 shortly after the break,
it was over as a contest. After that, we produced some flowing moves, and our passing was much more assured.”
He concluded by saying, "I really enjoyed watching my lads tonight, but all credit to the crowd too, they gave us terrific support."
Having qualified for third round of the DFB Pokal, Bayern will return to league action on Saturday, October 29, against FC Nurnberg.
