Heynckes applauded Badstuber for his recent performances and urged him to keep up his great form for the remainder of this campaign. He offered his support to the player, who has often come under fire from the club fans due to

Heynckes admitted that the centre-back had gone through a lean phase initially but has matured with every passing game. The 66-year-old also hailed the defender’s attacking instincts and specified that every team wishes to have
a defender like Badstuber.
"He is extremely mature for his age and always critical of himself. He is also equipped with a sweet left-foot and his distribution is superb. It's something you need as a centre back nowadays. Holger is rapidly repaying the club's
faith in him," Heynckes concluded.
