The Bayern Munich boss has claimed that his side needs to improve after some below par performances since the restart.
Heynckes admitted that the Bavarian giants have been disappointing after they returned from the winter break and the displays have been way below par. He stated that Bayern have lost their lead at the top and have dropped to second
place which is not a good sign.
The Munich giants have played three games since the restart of the league last month and have secured four points out of a possible nine. In contrast, the reigning champions Borussia Dortmund have won all three of their games and
now have a two-point lead at the top of the table.
Heynckes admitted his disappointment on the dropped points and has claimed that the team had a good chance to win all three games. He added that Bayern has a world-class side and it is only a matter of time before they find their
touch back.
“I'd only have been satisfied if we'd won all three matches. Sometimes you need a match like that to spark the ignition. We have very good attacking players, and I think it's just a matter of time before they explode,” he was quoted
as saying in an interview.

penalty takers,” he concluded.
