2-1 win over Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga which kept them in the title hunt for few hours before Borussia Dortmund sealed it by beating Borussia Monchengladbach late in the evening.
Heynckes mentioned that his side are confident after an away win in the Bundesliga which gives them an edge over their Spanish opponents prior to the return leg. Bayern are currently leading the contest after a 2-1 win at home
in the first-leg last week.
The tactician stated that his players are looking forward to the challenge and each member of the squad is raring to take the field in a crucial encounter. He was also ecstatic at his team’s display against the River Islanders

While talking during the post-match press conference, the boss further added: "Playing every third or fourth day isn't easy, which is why I rotated my squad. I'm satisfied with our attitude and determination. The substitutions
had a positive effect on our game. Werder had good chances, but we deserved the win. It was a morale-boosting victory.”
Heynckes claimed that his side stands a decent chance of making it through to the final and are not perturbed by the atmosphere that will definitely be chanting against the Allianz Arena outfit.
"We go to Madrid full of confidence and belief, because we're always capable of scoring away from home. I'm optimistic about Madrid, and so are my players," Heynckes concluded.
Bayern are currently second in the league standings with 67 points and have already lost the title race with two games yet to be played in the competition. They will return to action in the second-leg against Madrid on Wednesday,
April 25, at the Santiago Bernabeu.
