The Bayern Munich manager has stated his belief that the Dutch winger will extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.
Bayern Munich manager, Jupp Heynckes, is confident that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 will sign a contract extension at the club. He was talking ahead of his side’s second-leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie against Olympique Marseille
on Tuesday, April 3, at the Allianz Arena. The Reds currently lead 2-0 after the first-leg at the Stade Velodrome.
The tactician hailed Robben’s form so far this season and regarded the winger as one of the most important players. He admitted that the Dutchman has recently been in supreme form since his return from injury and is confident that
the player will stay at Bayern Munich.
Heynckes mused that Robben has already proven his worth this season by netting goals consistently and therefore Bayern cannot afford to lose him at any cost. He confirmed that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international has fully recovered from
his groin problem and his recent display in all competitions gives a true account of his abilities.
While talking during the pre-match press conference, the former Leverkusen boss further added: "I personally assume Arjen will put pen to paper sometime over the coming rounds (of games). I think that he has shown again how important
he is for Bayern."
Robben has scored seven goals in his last five outings for the Munich giants in all competitions and his return to form has left Bayern just three points short of Borussia Dortmund at the second spot.
The former Madrid star signed for the Bavarian giants in 2009 and so far has 39 league goals to his name from 57 appearances. Robben’s career has been marred with injuries which is why the winger has continuously faced criticism
from the German media.
However, Heynckes still admires the winger and wants to see him continuing to play at the Allianz Arena until 2015. Robben’s current deal will expire at the end of next season and big name clubs such as Manchester United and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786
are considering bringing him to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 during the upcoming summer transfer window.
