The Bayern Munich manager accuses his goalkeeper for his team’s loss to Borussia Monchengladbach at the season’s second-half resumption.
Bayern Munich resumed their Bundesliga duties in the worst possible manner with a shocking loss at the hands of the Foals on Friday, January 20, at the Borussia Park. As a result, the Reds have gone level on points with Schalke
and Borussia Dortmund, while Monchengladbach are just one point adrift of the three sides.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrick-Herrmann-c29275 doubled the advantage right at the stroke of half time. Once again, it was Herrmann, who stretched the advantage to 3-0 in the 71st
minute before http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 scored a consolation on the 76th minute mark for the visitors.
Bayern manager expressed his anger after the game, and also blamed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424 for inviting initial trouble with his lack of concentration. Neuer gifted a goal to Reus when his clearance fell straight into the striker’s path and
he just needed a simple tap in to open the deadlock.
Heynckes stated that Neuer wants to see everything happening on the pitch at a rapid pace which probably led to the team’s downfall in the clash. He advised him to redeem his mistakes and be patient especially with the German Cup
and the UEFA Champions League games coming up next month.
While talking to Hamburger Abendblatt, the former Leverkusen tactician further added:
"That's Neuer's problem, he wants to make the game too fast. He needs to play more calmly and be more focused. That was the invitation to defeat."
On the other hand, the tactician also showered praise on his opponents who went into the game as underdogs. He insisted that the Foals were phenomenal on the counter attacks, and will definitely qualify for next season’s Champions
League by finishing in the top four this term.
"What Borussia [Monchengladbach] have done so far is phenomenal. They will play in Europe next season."
The Bavarian giants are currently atop the league table with 37 points from 18 games, and will next take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 on Saturday, January 28, at the Allianz-Arena.
