The manager has expressed his delight on progressing to the final of the DFB-Pokal after Bayern Munich beat Monchengladbach on penalties.

“Both teams were outstanding. Gladbach were very well organised and we had to risk a lot. Overall, we had the clearer chances, but they also had three good opportunities. However, the opener didn't arrive, and we were lucky victors,”

Heynckes stressed that his team is back in form and are now certainly in contention for a treble. The former German champions are also in the quarter-final of the UEFA Champions League and only five points behind Borussia Dortmund
