The Bayern Munich manager can earn himself a new contract after a successful 2011/12 campaign since taking over last year.
Bayern Munich chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has revealed that he might offer a renewed deal to current manager Jupp Heynckes at the end of this season. The Reds have had a marvellous campaign so far where they find themselves
in the final of both the UEFA Champions League and the German Cup. Unfortunately, Bayern cannot lift the Bundesliga crown as Borussia Dortmund have already defended their title successfully.
Rummenigge praised Heynckes for his efforts this term and told that the boss could be in line for a new deal at the Allianz Arena. He mused that the former Leverkusen tactician possesses greatest managerial qualities and is certainly
the best man to have in this seat.
Heynckes’ original deal is set to expire by the end of next season but the 66-year-old definitely deserves a prolonged stay at the club. He took over from Louis van Gaal last year after the former manager failed to lead the Reds
to any trophy and therefore was relieved of his duties.
While talking to local sports publication, Bild, the CEO further added: "Jupp is not made that way, he has no such thought. Jupp is a special character in this respect. And if he wants, he could stay longer than when his contract
expires in 2013."
On the other hand, the supremo also commented on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arjen-Robben-c6521 and Franck Ribery incident which took place after the first-leg of their Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. Both players were involved in a dressing room
spat but the matter was settled after Bayern won the second-leg on penalties and progressed through to the final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
"The issue is completely settled. Both were key players for our success in Madrid on Wednesday. The incident was of course not OK. But my theory is that this explosion was a spark that provided a boost. Although I know that had
we lost, we would be speaking differently today," Rummenigge concluded.
Bayern will now take on the Blues in the final on May 19 in Munich’s Allianz Arena. They will also contest Borussia Dortmund in the final of the German Cup on May 12.
