Jupp Heynckes pleased with Bayern Munich’s 3-2 win over Napoli – UCL News
Having defeated Napoli and gone three points clear atop the table in Group A, Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has expressed satisfaction at his team’s victory in the Champions League.

Bayern locked horns with Napoli on Wednesday, November 2, at Allianz-Arena with Bayern winning by a 3-2 margin. Mario Gomez scored a hat-trick for the Bavarian giants. Federico Fernandez grabbed a brace to ensure a tense finish to the thrilling encounter.

It has been reported that the midfielder will be missing from action for up to six weeks, but manager Jupp Heynckes is confident of the player’s speedy recovery. He told that Bayern would certainly miss the German international but are ready to cope without
him in the coming few games.
The manager also admitted of a few hiccups during the game which nearly proved costly for the home side. He also praised Napoli’s effort despite being put under immense pressure by the capacity crowd present at Allianz-Arena.
While talking during the post-match conference, Heynckes further enthused:
"At this level, you get nothing for free and until today they had not lost a single Champions League game. We have to be pleased that we won. Such games happen in Europe, maybe this will help bring expectations back down to earth."
Heynckes concluded by saying, "There is no way we were careless after we went 3-0 up. I told the team before the game that it would be very difficult today. Napoli never gave up; they have superb morale and are the top when it comes to fighting and running.”
Bayern are currently leading the Champions League Group A with 10 points from four games and will return to action on Sunday, November 6, against FC Augsburg.
