The Bayern Munich manager has shown his admiration for the Borussia Monchengladbach defender, hinting on possibly acquiring him in the summer.
Jupp Heynckes opines that Borussia Monchengladbach defender has shown massive improvement in the past two years, and could easily fit in one of the top clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904. He was talking in the wake of his team’s 3-1 defeat at the
hands of the Foals on Friday, January 20, at the Borussia-Park.
Marco Reus opened the scoring for the home side and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bastian-Schweinsteiger-c7374 grabbed a consolation for the visitors. As a result, Gladbach are left just one point adrift of the Bavarian giants
at the second spot.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dante-c10236, who was influential in his team’s pre-winter campaign, missed the match due to suspension. However, the Foals still survived Bayern’s scare, and completed a double over the current leaders having previously defeated them
on the opening day of the season.
The Brazilian sweeper is currently into his third year at Gladbach, and has recently won plaudits for his outstanding show during the season’s first-half. Dante, though, has expressed his desire to play for one of the top European
clubs in the future.
Heynckes reckons that the former Lille player has improved significantly, and has played a major role in helping his side finish fourth prior to going into the winter break.
While talking to sports website, Express.de, the former Bayer Leverkusen manager further stated:
"I must say that he has developed well and had some excellent games."
On the other hand, Heynckes admitted that a striker such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 is a huge plus to any side, and will be a definite threat for every opposition during the second-phase. He insisted that the attacker was certain to tie knots
with Borussia Dortmund as he would have found it difficult to cement a place in the starting XI at the Allianz-Arena.
"Every team has a player like Marco Reus who can make the difference. Incidentally, I knew long ago that he would go to BVB. It's the right decision, with us the competition would be much greater," Heynckes concluded.
Bayern are currently atop the league table with 37 points, and their next test will come against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 on Saturday, January 28. A win, though, for Dortmund and Schalke in their respective games on Saturday and Sunday will
put them level on points with the Bavarian giants.
