Jupp Heynckes uncertain of Arjen Robben’s immediate return to action – Bundesliga News
Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes is still uncertain of Arjen Robben’s immediate return to action as Bayern brace themselves for a tough fixture list ahead.
Robben has had an injury plagued 2011/12 season, where he has made just four league appearances until now. The winger was earlier sent back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sweden-c3015, following a recurrence of his hernia
problem.
The mercurial Dutch winger has been on the sidelines for majority of this season, causing frustration amongst the officials and fellow teammates. The Netherlands international was previously tipped to make a return during the Champions League game against
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, which never happened.
With the player still recovering from injury, manager Jupp Heynckes is forced to play a replacement in place of the experienced campaigner. Heynckes is not yet prepared to announce any return date for the winger but is hoping to see him back on training
grounds within the next few weeks.
Robben last made a league appearance against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hamburger-SV-c39485 early in August, where he also scored a goal in his side’s 5-0 triumph.
The former Real Madrid player has had an injury prone career with the Bundesliga giants since landing at Allianz-Arena in 2009. He has only been able to record 42 league appearances during this two-year period.
While addressing a press conference, the former Bayer Leverkusen manager further added, "He is doing relatively well. He has started his rehabilitation program and we are confident that he will fully recover again.”
He also stated, "However, I can't say anything about when he will be able to join the rest of the team again for regular training."
It is now up to the club’s medical staff to ensure Robben’s fitness as Bayern would definitely need him for the games against Manchester City and Villarreal.
Robben will also be required by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 and their manager Bert van Marwijk has requested Bayern officials to take special care of the winger.
There is a big question mark on the Dutchmen’s immediate return to action, following his aggravated hernia problem, and has already been declared unfit for the game against Napoli next week.
