Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis not starting?

Question

When ever I put my Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis disk in I get an error message saying " simjp.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close,...". When i click on the shortcut to start it up it opens up just fine. I meet all the requirements no problem. Does anyone know what the problem is?
