The Borussia Dortmund manager has showered praise on his side after the Black Yellows successfully defended their Bundesliga crown this season.
Borussia Dortmund tactician, Jurgen Klopp, has hailed his side for putting in a great show this season and defending their Bundesliga crown. He was talking in the aftermath of his team’s 4-0 win over http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/SC-Freiburg-c40462 in the last game
which also gave the Borussians most number of points in a single Bundesliga season.
Klopp expressed his delight with the way things went throughout the campaign where his team also created a new record of staying unbeaten since the winter break. The Borussians are still unbeaten for the past 22 games in all competitions
and will meet Bayern Munich for the one final time when the two teams take on each other in the final of the German Cup on May 12.
The manager mused that his troops worked extremely hard throughout the campaign and therefore deserved winning silverware. However, he urged his side not to relax after winning the league and push hard for the one final time in
order to ensure a double and end this season on a high note.
While talking during the post-match press conference, Klopp further added: "We have, once again, fought well in two difficult games, but the team have made it look easy. This has crowned our season. I told the guys today, 'we will
not have 81 points given to us in the flesh after the game but the championship trophy instead'. If we look back in 30 years, we can do so knowing that, so far, no other club has earned more points."
On the other hand, Dortmund sporting director, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Michael-c25261 Zorc also showed his delight after winning the Bundesliga and registering record number of points. He thought that this feat is massive and wished that the Black Yellows could
also lift the German Cup and complete a much deserved double.
"The previous record was 40 years old. This shows what a gigantic achievement that was. I can only salute the players," Zorc concluded.
Dortmund finished this season’s Bundesliga on 81 points, eight clear of second-placed, Bayern Munich. As a result, they also qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League alongside Bayern, Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach.
