Jurgen Klopp claimed that Borussia Dortmund has been responsible in developing young players over the last few years. The manager stated that the side has had to sell players at the end of every season because of the money involved. He added that Kagawa
was one important player the club had to sell last season because of this reason.
The tactician stated that Kagawa is one of the best players he has managed and expressed his disappointment that the player has not been properly utilised in his maiden season at Old Trafford. He added that it is disappointing for a player of Kagawa’s class
to play only a few minutes in each game.
“We have this amount of money so we can pay that amount. Last year it was Shinji Kagawa. Shinji Kagawa is one of the best players in the world and now he plays 20 minutes at Manchester United - on the left wing! My heart breaks. Really, I have tears in my
eyes,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
