The Borussia Dortmund manager is elated after the win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 and wants the side to continue the winning run in the remaining matches.
Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, has expressed his pleasure after beating Mainz at home, thus extending his side's lead at the top of the table to seven points. The Borussians played hosts to Thomas Tuchel’s men on Saturday,
March 03, at the Signal Iduna Park with the reigning champions winning by a 2-1 margin.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mohamed-Zidan-c26404, the former Dortmund striker, netted for the visitors. Klopp reckons that his side were on top from the start and should have been in the lead inside
the first 10 minutes.
The manager feels that his players missed numerous chances in the beginning and admitted that finishing is one area of concern for the team. However, Klopp praised the efforts of Japanese midfielder, Kagawa, whose 77th
minute strike decided the game in his team’s favour.
The tactician stated that Dortmund showed excellent determination after Zidan’s equaliser which is encouraging to see with only 10 games remaining in the season.
While talking to reporters after the game, the former Mainz manager further added:
"It was a very intense game. From the 10th minute onwards, we have played very well. Unfortunately, we did not take many of our chances, but we showed a reaction to [Mohamed Zidan's] equaliser, which is good.”
On the other hand, the tactician warned his side against complacency despite a seven-point gap from second placed Bayern Munich. The Bavarian giants lost their game to Bayer Leverkusen to stay second while Borussia Monchengladbach
lost to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FC-Nuremberg-c38162 to remain at the third spot.
"I've not thought about whether there is a meaning to our seven-point lead, because now I could only babble rubbish about it," Klopp concluded.
The Black Yellows currently have 55 points from 24 games and will next be in action against one of the relegation candidates, FC Augsburg. Klopp’s men will then face Werder Bremen before their DFB-Pokal semi-final on March 20.
