Jurgen Klopp denies Mario Gotze’s claim of leaving Signal Iduna Park before the end of his contract
Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp has denied Mario Gotze’s claims of leaving Signal Iduna Park at the end of his current contract. He was talking in the wake of claims made by the attacking midfielder after Dortmund’s 1-0 win over Olympiakos in the Champions
League.
Klopp admitted about Bayern’s interest in the midfielder but is certain to retain him until the end of his current contract, which expires in 2014. He told that Gotze is young and perhaps the dreams of representing top clubs like Bayern Munich or Manchester
United got over him.
The manager told that Jurgen is an asset for his side and his achievements last season helped Dortmund win the Bundesliga crown. He also claimed of having held talks with Gotze over the issue who assured of his stay at the club until 2014.
Mario, on the other hand, previously revealed his desire to leave the Borussians at the end of current 2011/12 season. The teenager stated his wish to represent the German giants despite knowing of Dortmund’s stance over his sale to any other German club.
Bayern Munich, who are interested in Gotze’s arrival at Allianz-Arena, were previously told by the Black Yellows officials that the youngster will not be sold to any German outfit before 2014. The club had also stated that Gotze will only be allowed to play
somewhere out of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 if he ever wishes to part ways with the reigning Bundesliga champions.
While talking to reporters ahead of Dortmund’s next league game against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881, Klopp further added, "We know that he and his entourage are not thinking about changing clubs. It's very important for him to continue to grow in the Dortmund environment."
Mario has continued his impressive form this season by already scoring twice from seven Bundesliga appearances. The 19-year-old also has one assist to his name this campaign.
The player was also the part of Dortmund’s 1-0 winning squad over Olympiakos on Tuesday and will next be seen in action on Saturday, November 5, against VfL Wolfsburg.
Dortmund fans will hope to see Gotze performing for them for three more years before a possible departure from Signal Iduna Park.
