The Borussians' team trainer has blasted his team’s poor showing in the 3-3 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt on Tuesday.
Borussia Dortmund head coach Jurgen Klopp expressed his frustrations at the side’s 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt after leading the game twice. He suggested that the team did badly and were made to pay as they failed to finish
off the game. The result has left the German double winning side seven points behind table toppers Bayern Munich.
The BVB are five points adrift of newly promoted, Eintracht Frankfurt. Bayern, Fortuna Dusseldorf and Frankfurt are the only teams to remain unbeaten so far in the league. The BVB manager was impressed by the Bundesliga newcomers
and feels that they deserved to share the spoils from the mid-week clash.
The club official stated that Eintracht played well and Dortmund drew the game because of a poor display. As a result of this, the home team were worthy of a point as they were very good on the attacking front with countless counter-attacks.
"Eintracht did well, we did badly," he was quoted as saying in an interview.
"Therefore, Eintracht deserved this point because they played some sensational counter-attacks,” the former Mainz 05 striker mused.
The tactician claimed that their passes were sublime, their crossing was spot-on and the runs were exquisite. Therefore, they scored three goals against the DFB-Pokal cup winners as they were clinical in front of the goal.
"Every pass was inch perfect, every cross found its man and every run they did was spot on - that is extraordinary quality which they had," he finally concluded.
Dortmund’s 31 game unbeaten run was put to an end by Hamburg SV last week, and the club will be solely concentrating on reclaiming their top form of last season. Die Borussen will take on Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday and
will be looking forward to end their bad run with a vital win against Gladbach.
The BVB is currently in sixth place and will be hoping to turn their fortunes around in order to catch the Bavarian giants who are in sublime form, with a perfect record in all competitions.
