Jurgen Klopp keen on improving his side’s finishing worries – Bundesliga news
Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is hopeful of overcoming his team’s finishing worries as the Borussians prepare for the Mainz challenge next weekend. He was talking after his side’s 2-1 loss to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hannover-96-c39492 on Sunday, September 18, at Rhein-Neckar-Arena.
Klopp believes that his troops have all the potential to make a comeback despite making a poor start to the season. He accepted the fact that his side are struggling at the moment but has confidence in every member of the squad. The manager is also confident
of having Mario Gotze back in time for the next assignment.
The manager urged his players not to lose heart and asked them stay focused for the upcoming matches. Klopp revealed that his players took it lightly in the closing stages, resulting in his team’s third defeat of this campaign. The manager reserved praise
for his Japanese ace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Shinji-Kagawa-c33364, who scored the only Dortmund goal in the 63rdminute. He expressed pleasure at having the midfielder back in form and hoped to see the Japanese retain it until the end of the season.
While talking to the local press after the game, Klopp further stated, “We are not satisfied and we have not gained enough points but this is not a false start. This defeat is very nasty. From the 75th minute on we gave up control of a very good game. It
was our own fault, and a defeat never makes much sense, it merely gives you something you can learn from.”
“We gave away a game in which we did several things very well, save for our finishing. Then we conceded too many set pieces and became inactive. That led to the equaliser.”
Dortmund are currently 11th on the league table with seven points from six games and will next make a trip to Coface Arena to take on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 05 on Saturday, September 24. The Borussians so far have lost three of their six games, managing only
two wins during the process. A win over the O-Fives will take them at least up to the eighth spot.
