The Borussia Dortmund CEO has hailed the manager for his impressive work in the past few years and stated that he has full confidence in him.
Hans-Joachim Watzke is confident that Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, is perfectly suited to his current role at the club and has admitted that the club are determined to keep him to achieve silverware in the future. He was talking
in the wake of a renewed contract signed by the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/1-FSV-Mainz-05-c38166 manager, which will keep him at the Westfalenstadion until 2016.
The CEO confirmed that he wants Klopp to be manager of the club even after 2016 and opined that the 44-year-old has already given a decent account of his worth since taking over the responsibilities in 2008.
Watzke stated that the club has complete confidence in the manager, and even the players are comfortable training under him.
He further mentioned that the recent contract extension is a clear indication of the club’s belief in the former striker. He reiterated his desire of persisting with Klopp at least until 2016, and is targeting further success in
the future.
While talking to sports website, bild.com, the CEO further added:
"I assume very little in life. But I can rule out that before 2016 I might say to Jurgen Klopp, 'We must part ways.' We are absolutely convinced of Jurgen. I've known him for four years, I know how he works and have total confidence
in him. We gave Jurgen a long-term contract because we will be able to survive the hard spells."
Klopp has already become the second most successful manager in Borussia Dortmund’s history after Ottmar Hitzfeld, in terms of Bundesliga wins. Hitzfeld led Dortmund to two successive league wins 1994-95 and 1995-96, while Klopp
led the Borussians to a win last season can add another feather in his cap as the club is are atop the league standings, two points clear of Bayern Munich and three from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Dortmund have only lost thrice this season so far, and will next be in action against Hertha http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Berlin-c7536 on Saturday, February 18.
