Jurgen Klopp still hopeful of progressing through to the next round - UCL News
Borussia Dortmund manager, Jurgen Klopp, has expressed disappointment at his team’s loss to Arsenal in the Champions League. He also lamented at losing two of his key players in the first half, which made life difficult for the Borussians.
Klopp was talking after his team’s 2-1 loss to the Gunners in a must-win Champions League group F game. The match took place on Wednesday, November 23, at Emirates Stadium.

The visitors were in desperate search of a win in order to stay alive in the competition and went in with their preferred starting XI. However, the Borussians suffered two huge setbacks inside the first 30 minutes, with the injuries to Sven Bender and their
teenage sensation, Mario Gotze.
Bender first complained of pain in his jaw and had to be taken off in the 25th minute. The player was replaced by the fellow midfielder, Moritz Leitner. Four minutes later, Mario Gotze, was also called off with suspicion of a knee injury and was
replaced by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ivan-c17215 Perisic.
The x-ray reports revealed that Bender has a broken jaw and will be out of action for an indefinite amount of time. Gotze’s injury, though, is nothing serious and the attacker will be available for Dortmund's upcoming league tie against Schalke.
Despite losing on Wednesday, Klopp was still eyeing a place in the last-16, but admitted of the difficulties associated with his ambitions.
While talking to Uefa.com after the game, the tactician further mentioned:
"We had to make some awkward changes and that is when sporting matters are not so important anymore. Gotze's knee seems to be alright, but http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sven-Bender-c34386 broke his jaw and needs surgery here in London. When you have to replace two important players early on
in the match, it is difficult for any team."
"We are not out, we have to win by a big score and rely on Arsenal to help us. Everything has happened in football and we will be ready; I do not know what will happen, but we will be ready." Klopp concluded.
Dortmund will have to beat Olympique Marseille by a four-goal margin and in return hope that the Gunners outgun Olympiacos in their last group game.
