With Tim Matavz the first-choice striker for the Eindhoven giants, the 18-year-old expresses his desire to move away from Philips Stadion on a season-long loan deal to enjoy more playing time.
PSV Eindhoven young striker, Jurgen Locadia, has expressed his desire to play the entire 2012/13 campaign on loan away from Philips Stadion.
The 18-year-old, who came through the ranks of the Boeren youth academy in the 2011/12 season, netted 23 goals while wearing Jong PSV colours last term.
And the young hit-man is confident that he is ready to take the next step in his career. However, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jeremain-Lens-c18323 and Tim Matavz in the PSV squad, it seems unlikely that the youngster will be enjoying enough playing time at
Philips Stadion.
Lens, who joined the Eindhoven giants in the summer of 2010 after impressing at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar during his four-season spell, has thus far netted 21 goals while setting up plenty more in 68 league matches for the Boeren.
The 24-year-old attacker has a contract with PSV that runs until the summer of 2015, and it seems unlikely that the Dutch international would be leaving the Eindhoven-based club any sooner.
Matavz arrived at Philips Stadion at the start of the 2011/12 campaign after enjoying a tremendous four-year stint with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Groningen-c39119, scoring 34 goals while providing a bagful of assists in 84 league games.
The Slovenian ace has an ongoing contract at Philips Stadion that runs until the end of the 2015/16 campaign. However, his impressive performances for the past couple of seasons have garnered him interest from several top flight
European clubs including the likes of Benfica, who have expressed keen interest in landing his signature before the ongoing summer transfer window slams shut.
Locadia has expressed his desire of moving away from Philips Stadion to enjoy regular playing time. However, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 head coach, d**k Advocaat, has made it clear that he does not want to send the youngster on a season-long loan
deal until Matavz’s future at PSV becomes clearer.
“I scored 23 goals last season for Jong PSV. I have already scored six for PSV, and I am ready for the next step. But d**k Advocaat has indicated that first he must know whether Tim Matavz leaves or stays”, the youngster said while
talking to journalists.
The 18-year-old signed a contract extension earlier this year, which will now keep him at Philips Stadion until the summer of 2014.
