  1. Medical reason is the most valid excuse not to attend a duty jury.  Other than that might get a penalty for contempt of court.

  2. Tell him to move to Sudan or someplace else without any messy, nasty jury duty.

  3. attend and make a good excuse

  4. Jury duty is a civic duty - it is a way for citizens to participate in our judicial system and have a voice in the way our government is run.  Honestly, your friend is lazy and unappreciative for wanting to duck out of jury duty.  He enjoys the rights and privilages of being an American citizen - if he wants to skip jury duty, he should also forgo his rights (Bill of Rights), US military protection, and so on.  It's only fair.

  5. Tell him to stop being lazy and do is civic duty. It sucks, but we all gotta do it at some point

  6. He could stick up a liquor store and then go to jail for a few years, which would make him ineligible.

He could shoot himself in the head, and have his body relocated to the cemetary.

He could leave the country and go live in Iran if they'll have him ... he probably have to change his religion.

  7. i would like to sit on a jury.. i cant because i cant hear.  they make me show up and then excuse me.

  8. He needs to attend and if the lawyers bring him up for questions during jury selection, he simply needs to say "If the police caught him, he must be guilty."  Or "I am a proud member of the National Rifle Association."  Either of these should get him excused pretty quickly,

  9. Tell your friend to grow up and do his part.

All of the benefits you get by living in our society and such a minor issue as jury duty is too much for you.

Tell him that he would be best off leaving the country and moving to a place that does not have jury trials.

  10. Tell the panel you can tell the defendent is guilty just by looking at them....that should do the trick.
