I'm asking because I was just summoned for the 3rd time in 25 MONTHS! And I did appear the other 2 times.

  1. I'm 34, and have been summoned 3 times, but only had to go once.  One time, I was living in a different state than sent the summons.  The other time, I got a postponement and then moved to another county (for other reasons, not to avoid jury duty).

  2. I'm 21 and have NOT been summoned yet!

  3. I'm 34 and have been summoned 4 times.  Twice in New York and twice in Arizona.  The first 2 in NY I didn't have to appear.  The two times I got called in Arizona were 2 years apart and I had to appear both times.  The first time, I ended up as the foreman of a jury and the second one I was also picked to be on the jury but the case settled before it went to trial.  My husband has been called 3 times in Arizona and has never had to go.  I guess it's just odd luck!

  4. I'm 35 and have never been summoned.

  5. I am 48 and I've been called twice. The first time was two years ago,a federal case, which I was excused from because I am disabled. The second time was last summer, local case, which I served. Our rules are that I can't be summoned again for three years since I served the summer case.  Three times in just over two years seems excessive to me.

  6. 38 years since I turned 18 and I was summoned once this past year.

  7. It has been 4 years since I turned 18 and I have never been summoned for jury duty. My mom is a public school teacher so she cannot be summoned. That's pretty nice.

  8. 24 and 0

  9. I'm 60, called 4 times, empaneled twice (one civil, one criminal), almost empaneled one more time, one time was a clean miss.  Two more cases, I was summoned and asked to defer due to planned business or personal travel.

  10. You didn't say what state you are in but where I am 3 times in 25 months is very possible.  The only guarantee is that there will be at least a year in between.

  11. I've been summoned three times. I was summoned twice at one time in two different counties because my old county thought I still lived there.

  12. Ten years, zero times.

  13. 7 and 0 times. it would probably depend on your city and state. Do u live in an urban area? There are more crimes in urban areas and your probably not too far from a courthouse.

  14. Gee they must have your number.

It's been 30 years but only summoned about 6 times. Chosen once.

Edit_ I forgot my son turned 21 last Nov. and he has been summoned twice since.
