Jury duty @ Wake County, NC?

Question

How long does it take usually if you are assigned for jury duty?

In there summon they ask to stay till 5:00 PM? is that common to stay till that time!?

Anyone had experience!?

depends on your case, some can take 1 hour others can several days to weeks if you all don't agree.

I'm not in Wake County (Meck.), but being in the legal industry I can tell you that it all depends on the case. You may have to stay until 5 pm although they usually pick everyone they want before lunch.

In Cook County, IL, you're in for pretty much the whole day....It's no longer "1 case & out", or rejection (to be on a jury) and out".  Bring a good book, magazines, puzzles, and newspapers.....and of course a beverage & snacks.
