Jury duty: but i made a mistake?

i thought my group number was my court number and i was supposed to report the other day but didn't realize it until later...what do i do now? live in LA

  1. Mistakes happen. Just call them. You won't be in any kind of trouble


  2. Call the court and tell them what happen.

  3. I wouldn't just let it go because it could come back to bite you later. I would contact whoever it is that you would need to contact and let them know what happened. That should straighten it all out for you.

  6. there should be a number on the notice.  call it and explain.  technically, you can be placed in contempt of court if you skip your jury duty.  They will probably reassign you.
