Jury duty: but i made a mistake?

i thought my group number was my court number and i was supposed to report the other day but didn't realize it until later...what do i do now? live in LA

Mistakes happen. Just call them. You won't be in any kind of trouble

I wouldn't just let it go because it could come back to bite you later. I would contact whoever it is that you would need to contact and let them know what happened. That should straighten it all out for you.

there should be a number on the notice.  call it and explain.  technically, you can be placed in contempt of court if you skip your jury duty.  They will probably reassign you.

There is always a phone number on your notice to serve - ring it and explain - it will be fine
