  1. Depends on what the trial is about.  If it is say, a person caught dealing drugs, they will ask you if you have ever used drugs, had a family member messed up on drugs, a friend that uses or deals, etc, and generally how you feel about drug use.

  2. They will ask you questions relative to the specifics of the trial, as well general questions, such as if you understand the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" and "beyond a reasonable doubt".

If the trial depends upon the tesimony of a police officer, they may ask you if you know or have relatives that are police officers, and whether you have any particular feelings about them.

They will ask whether you know personally any of the people involved in the trial (attorneys, defendants, witnesses).

Other questions will depend entirely on what the trial is about.  For example, if it is a DUI trial, they may ask if you drink, if you are, or you know any, alcoholics, etc.

It will very much depend upon the specifics of the trial.

It has been my experience that often one side is relying on facts, while the other side will be relying on emotions.  Therefore, you will probably get questions where the attorneys try to judge whether you will weigh evidence logically or whether you might be swayed by an emotional appeal (one side might want one, while the other side might want the other).
