  1. yes any more and I say no

  2. yea. eva's right. it does depend on what ur going to use it for. if ur just surfing the web, it's probably ok but it might be a little slow. if ur using it to play alot of games or for business, this might not be the computer for u

  3. It depends on what you're going to use it for.

t78: Read the last part of the question; he's getting Ubuntu.

  4. RAM Loaded 256MB - that's tight, you maybe can't get more either, so you need to run Xubuntu (Ubuntu needs a bit more RAM  - XUbuntu is the same system, but a lighter faster desktop environment) or you might look at other linux distro's too.

It's useable, sure, but that HDD is very tiny - 10GB! I bought 500GB on Saturday for $70, that's $1.40 per 10GB and faster - try to buy a bigger HDD to go in there, maybe 40 or 80GB second hand.

I'm not sure how you will boot from CD - you need a CD/DVD RW too, they're not too expensive, but how will you connect them?

MOST IMPORTANT is a power supply - not listed. If you don't have that, then you're stuffed. The battery is no good, tested or not - it's over 5 years old, so it's dead - and I'm not sure it's worth investing in a new battery - but no power supply is very bad.

If it has USB, then maybe you can load software onto USB and do it that way, but I'm not that clever - I started from a live CD - it'll run linux nicely, and maybe pretty good for internet and using open office too.

  5. Its decent. I'm hoping you noticed the laptop doesn't come with an OS which means no Windows or Apple OS - thatll cost you about hundred+ for either software. Don't expect to be playing any games on this system, only basical internet researching and typing.

  6. Yeah, it was worth it! This way you can experiment without spending a bunch of bucks! Ubuntu, ay? Well check this then,
