My son wants jet black hair and i heard a good way to acheive this without using straight up dye is to use Just For Men solution. However, i've done some research and in the new formula there are a bunch of cases of people getting horrible rashes and itches. Can anybody recomend a safe non permanent way for my son to achieve this? If at all possible i would like to be able to to this in a trip to the local drugstore.

  1. Hmmm...well, conventional hair products tend to be very toxic.  YOu'll find less toxic hair dyes at a health food store. Or....do some research on healthy natural non toxic hair dyes on the net and maybe you can order it from there.

I think it's cool that you are letting your son dye his hair.  It will grow out in no time if his hair isn't too long if he hates it.

PS.....from my research dying hair darker is more toxic then dying it lighter....would he be a blond!! LOL

  2. Any chemical you use can cause an allergic reaction or irritation.

Ask the local drugstore something without ammonia.

Best chance there is no reaction.

    Planets.

  3. No, don't use just for men on him, it's to cover up gray. If you want a non-permanent hair color change use any ladies non-permanent hair dye. Make sure that it says NON-PERMANENT HAIR DYE.

  4. yes, if u have gray hair. LOL!!

  5. If you only want it for a day or 2 you can use black hair spray that washes out
