Just Retired . Offer your suggestions?

Question

I just retired from Active service after working in a state transport corporation in Tamilnadu. I reached a Sr management position before retiring recently.I have an engineering degree and have done a couple of short term forein assignments.

I can afford to put aside upto 2 Lakhs to start a business.What would you suggest me to do after retirement.

I would preferably like to start a business or a consultancy. Suggest the opportunities available.Also what are the other jobs that are available for me.

If you have just retired then it seems wise to find something that will keep your time flexible but still allow you to earn income.

If you are used to working with a team and have good people skills I would be interesting in talking with you.

I work with Health and Nutrition products. We are a sales and marketing company so you would be need to be interested in a business that involves sales.

I can find distributors and customers but what I am looking for is people with a bit more perception who will work with me to build distribtion of our products.

instead of getting bogged down in a business pay off whatever debt you have, lose the plastic, and invest in a good trust or mutual fund that will pay you enough to live on every month.sit back, relax and rake it in! enjoy.

you might want to look for a good rental property in a college town in a tax free state like new hampshire, florida or nevada also, something with 2-3 floors you can rent out.
