Just The Judge influential in the vision.ae Rockfel Stakes
Eleven two-year-old fillies have collected for the Group 2 vision.ae Rockfel Stakes with the intentions of taking back the £34,026 prize money back to the connections. The contestants will race over seven furlongs on Saturday, 13th October, 2012 at Newmarket. Lawman’s daughter’s intense confidence and courage got her to the Denford Stud Stakes (Listed Race) on 18th August, 2012 at Newbury race course over seven furlongs.
In the capable hands of the same jockey, the Irish brown filly took on the competition with a composed start, did not break into a rushed speed, and by the final furlong her leading stance was clear to all.
Despite getting threatened inside the final furlong, the two-year-old gained dominance over the final seventy-five yards of the race, and defeated Excess Knowledge by a length.
The favourite entry, Ninjago, had to consent with the third position.
The 4 to 1 entry retains the ride, and the duo will take off from the third trap.
A strong contestant from the stable of David Wachman is the two-year-old chestnut filly, Gift From Heaven. She broke through her maiden just last month with jockey, W. J. Lee, riding.
The Irish chestnut filly won the Yearling Bonus Scheme European Breeders Fund Maiden on 24th September, 2012 at Fairyhouse race course over six furlongs. She beat the favourite entry, Slope, by three lengths.
Racing in a graded event right after clearing the maiden speaks volumes about the ability of the filly who is backed by 11 to 2 odds, and will race out with jockey, Wayne Lordan, from the eleventh stall.
