2) My 7 week old hasnt been taking naps these past few days. She was really good about taking naps at the beging of the week;taking 2 naps a day for good period. but yesterday and the day before she only slept for a total of like 2 or 3 hrs all day till bed time and for 20 min at a time. i think the longest period she slept was an hr yesterday. is this normal?? i know that she needs naps during the day and i know she will be waking up more and all that but this much??

  1. as for the gripe water put it in a bottle and she will drink it or you can buy a soother dispenser

  2. 1) If you don't already have one, there are little medicine dispensers that are kind of like a soother, you can get them at walmart.

    2) Babies sleeping patterns change all the time, sometimes even daily. I wouldn't worry too much, my son has never taken long naps and he is 5 months now.

    3) Are you breastfeeding? I'm not sure if your bleeding was a period, it could be. I bled off and on (some women do) for 6 weeks post partum, thought I had my period, but I didn't. I knew when it was an actually period. Most women's periods tends to be heavier after birth for the first few months.

  3. try giving in the cheek, just a little bit at a time of the gripe water.

the bleeding....all i can say i my hormones were all screwed up for 9 1/2 months after birth, they are just starting to level off.  as long as it isn't so heavy you are soaking thru pads and tampons real quick then give it a couple more weeks to work it self out before you call the doc
