So I just recently ordered a pair of Adidas Vuelo Climacool volleyball shoes because my Åsics Gel Rocket 3's didn't have very good arch support for my extremely high arches & didn't fly so well with my active ankles.

Do Adidas Climacool Vuelo's work well with Active Ankle Ankle braces?

Does it also frustrate you when people say volleyball isn't a real sport and are always like I can do that or that's easy when you're just trying to talk about something awesome you did. That really makes me mad because people are always like volleyball players aren't athletes & stuff like that. That makes me so mad and I want some way to prove howe good of athletes we are. I know we can do everything just as good as other athletes. Yet it still gets to me when people are dissing on my favorite sport. I just wish I could get them to see some reall competetive volleyball...or have them play against some really good people!!! HELP!!

  1. The shoes should be fine with active ankles , i have similar ones and it's great.

It makes me REALLY mad when people say it's an easy / not a real sport , my friend who isn't even an athlete made that comment to me , so then i decided to prove that she would be exhausted if she did what i do in practice. Thhheenn she said she could probably do whatever it was easily , so there was the perfect opportunity, so i had a mini 2 person practice of my own , and she was worn out before we were half finished.

Unfortunately, this didn't shut her up, apparently she was just 'tired' that day.

So, i took her to a college vball game (good idea, you should do this) and then , after she saw how insanely high the men (she thought vball was easy/girly) and how hard they hit, she FINALLY shut up.

Sorry if I bored you , but it really works !

Also , you could always bring them to a real practice, tell your team what he/she said , and get them to play extra rough , but that's a little extreme ,

    anyways, hope i helped

  2. the people who say its easy are welcome to play against our team... and i think anyone who actually reads ALL the rules of volleyball has to accept that it is sport... not to mention its an "Olympic sport" that pretty much means it IS a sport.

  3. Be careful with active ankle, if you fall badly you are more likely to tear you acl instead of just sprain your ankle. as for those that say volleyball isnt a real sport invite them to play and kick their ***.

  4. your active ankles should be fine in any shoe, but a word of warning, my friend wore active ankles, and two weeks after buying them, he was playing in an important match and snapped both ankle braces on transition. the ref gave him a yellow card (i don't know why, that ref gave out like 5 yellow cards that game) but he couldn't play without his ankle braces, so they lost. i would suggest a different brace, like an ASO, Aircast (mix of ASO and active ankle), or Sweedo. all of these are part cloth, and hold up very well to wear and tear.

for the second question, it pisses me off to see people diss volleyball. one kid was doing it at a game, and our whole team got pissed off at him, so our hardest hitter hit it into the stands and nailed the kid. he left, but was back for our next match. he didn't say anything, unfortunately, so we had no reason to splatter his brains against the wall. it ticks me off especially, but it is something that we have to leave out of the gym. volleyball players are an elite caste in our society, and the elite are often picked on, so hold your head high an ignore them, but when they try to beat us at our sport, kill them on the court.

  5. yes the climacool shoes work fine with active ankles. i had them as my old shoes...  not so sure about their arch support.

and YES YES YES. it pisses me off more than ANYTHING when people say volleyball is "easy" or "not a real sport". oh my god. people really dont understand the intensity of competitive volleyball. volleyball can look easy and stupid at a young level like middle school, but once it gets competitive such as high school, club and especially college, it is one of the hardest, most mental, competitive and intense sports around. i really dont understand how people dont see it... if they watch college or even club volleyball do they not see how amazing the players are sprawling around on the ground, digging hits up and 6 foot 4 attackers hitting in front of the 10 foot line. GOD. that pisses me off so much. i wish they would at least make the effort to watch a game at a higher level or on tv or at least ATTEMPT to play in a competitive game. maybe then they would realize how hard of a sport it actually is. once you get to high school, volleyball is no longer a sport, its literally a way of life.

  6. i dont know about those shoes, but yes I do  get mad at people when they say vball is easy heres what my team did..... One night we told about 20 guys to come to  the YMCA these 20 all thought it was easy even though they were our super fans. Our team played against them and killed them! we even gave them 10 pts in the middle of the game so they were winning, but we still won by 5! Now they are amazing superfans and they give us credit for what we do.

We have also had them watch one of our practices in the summer. our first week we have 2 a days so we go from 9-12 then 1-4. they were all like whoa thats rough and respected us more for it!

  7. dont active ankles go well will most all shoes? ha, well i would think so. andd yea it makes most all volleyball players 'frustrated'
