  1. Cats should be kept inside. If you have to keep a cat outside, don't get one. Cats that are kept inside live longer, healthier lives.

  2. Most shelters do not! Please, if you are planning on having an outdoor cat, don't get one at all! Leave the cats to responsible owners who care about the safety of cats and will keep them inside!

  3. That would depend on where you live and your circumstances.

My Cats Protection will not adopt out a cat as an indoor cat so all shelters are different.

We quite often adopt cats to farms or people with large areas of land who are willing to take on cats who are not used to human contact.

I'm sure you can find the right shelter and the right cat who will appreciate your kind gesture, ignore the people who say all cats should be indoors...it's just not true

  4. It depends on the shelter. Some are very, very strict and will not adopt to an outside home. Others will provided the cat is well taken care of. You should check at your local shelters and ask if they'd adopt a cat to you.

  5. OF COURSE!! they would you adopt a cat.. as long as it goes to a caring home where they get lots of tlc they dont care... i adopted a cat she rather be outside than inside- so most of the day she is outside till she wants in... Hope you get the one you want!!-- thats awesome that your are adopting a cat from a shelter that needs a good home!
