Just a question about a canadian marrying an american?

  1. At some point you will be interviewed, and prove the marriage is genuine and in good faith. Like having joint bank accounts, mortgage/titles/loans in both names, original entry into the country was legal,etc.

    What worked for us, believe it or not, was we brought my sister-in-law's scrapbook, that had plenty of pictures with date stamps on them. It provided a chronological history of our courtship/marriage.

    If I recall I think my wife's aunt,and her sister-in-law, also wrote testimonials about us.

  3. To just get married..no, they won't ask you any questions. When you begin to file applications such as his green card/work visa..yes.
