O.k I am 7 months pregnant and have never liked by belly being touched, by males in particular, except the hubby of course. I dont mind women or my children... However my father inlaw seems to ALWAYS think its o.k to 'pat' my bump when we see them?? We dont see them regularly more like once every 6 weeks or 2 months, and the last time I tried to cover my bump with my large bag and he still makes a bee line for my bump and touches IRRR! Because of the situation I cannot simply say dont touch my bump cos it would make matters worse as I think he thinks hes being nice to the unborn child. To me though, it might as well be my breast thats how P'd off I get when he does this. ANYHOO..

I just want to know who elso gets like this too?

Is their someone who does a particular thing to you when you are pregnant that you just cannot stand?

  1. haha LOL

I always had people touch and pat my bump! even stranger asked if they couldd touch it!!

It annoyed me sometimes but i let it go. People are just been nice when they do it, mostly because its the closest they can get to touching that little cute baby! :) Also, people find bumps fascinating..i do still!

Once you have had your baby it wont even seem that much of a deal, in fact alot of things wont seem a big deal when your pregnancy is over! Pregnancy is something to enjoy as it is such a short period in your life (even though it doesnt seem like it right now!) it is greatly missed once it is over. So dont worry about things like this...enjoy it instead!

I used to HATE people say "aww...you are really small/big"....

or my mum used to say "your not any where near labour yet, your not in enough pain etc..." I went into labour the next day..... hehe

If you really dont like it let them know you feel uncomfortable with it. They should listen and not take offense as its your body!

    Anyway....congrats and good luck! x

  2. Ugh, this annoys the **** out of me. Try telling him that you understand he means well, but that he's invading your personal space and it makes you feel uncomfortable. Tell him it's nothing personal, you don't like anyone doing it.

  3. yes except I get uncomfortable when anyone touches my belly.

  4. after every nurse, doctor and joe blow sees and touches your ******** during your pregnancy, you won't really give a c**p if all they want to touch is your "bump", lol
